Many charter yachts offer only rendezvous dives. They are unable to provide a private underwater experience, they add to the cost of your vacation and they offer no flexibility in the dive schedule. Unlike the others, Slipstream is an all-inclusive dive yacht complete with tanks, oxygen kit, and easy access to and from the sea. Caribbean SCUBA adventures on Slipstream are a breeze! Experienced divers will be guided through shipwrecks and reefs including the R. M. S. Rhone, The Chicuzen, The Fearless, Alice and Wonderland and other first class dive sites. Novices and less adventurous divers will receive expert supervision as they explore coral reef systems and the indigenous marine life it supports.

Our favorite Dive Sites

The Rhone

Located on the west side of Salt Island, The Rhone sank in 1867 during a hurricane. After a devastating collision with Black Rock Point, the ship exploded and broke into several pieces now scattered in depths ranging from 20 - 80 ft. The bow section, the propeller, the condenser and various other structures have become coral encrusted and provide protection for numerous species of marine life.

The Chicuzen

The crew of a tugboat from St. Croix found this 246 ft. refrigeration vessel in flames and drifting north of Tortola after her crew attempted to scuttle her. The vessel sank in 80 feet of water. Conditions are not always favorable for this dive but when they are, it rewards skilled divers with numerous unusual marine life sightings.

Alice in Wonderland

Huge mushroom shaped corals make this one of the prettiest dives in the V.I. Its location on the south side of Ginger Island makes this dive site inaccessible during much of the year so take the opportunity to dive this site when it arises.

Marie L. and Pat and The Barge and Grill

Three wrecks on one great site! The Barge and Grill sits upright in 80 feet of water. After touring this vessel, Marie L and Pat are a few hundred feet away across the sand. Southern and eagle rays are common sights. Novice divers will delight in the large hard coral heads, angel fish, parrot fish, and colorful sea fans that are visible on this easy dive.

Soldier Bay, Norman Island

A mini wall dive, this dive starts at 20 ft. and drops off to 60 ft. Large schools of Tarpons, Bermuda Chub and Creole Wrasse frequent this site.

Congo

The dive begins with a swim through soft coral in 30 ft. of water then a drop down to 80 ft. where you follow a sloping wall. Many coral encrusted boulders rest on the bottom. Whale songs can occasionally be heard due to its location on the Atlantic side.

The Ledges

A great novice dive! Various ledges provide shelter for nurse sharks and Yellow Tail Snapper.

Hiking Adventures

Get to see the beautiful scenery first hand with our hiking adventures.

Hundreds of miles of hiking trails varying in length and difficulty wind along densely forested mountains and along sandy beaches throughout the Caribbean. Photographers and naturalists will delight in the tropical foliage, exotice birds, Indian petroglyphs and ruins from the bygone eras when pirates and plantations ruled the region.
